Who Will Win in India vs Sri Lanka 5th ODI 2008

Can you guess anything from the title? Well, I am here to write about which team between India and Sri Lanka is favorite for the seemingly insignificant fifth ODI of the series. You know that India already clinched the series and is leading by 3-1 at this moment. So, making it 3-2 is the only possibility Sri Lanka can achieve in the fifth match. After dominating in the test series, Sri Lanka disappointed the home fans with losing the ODI series with a match at hand. So, Sri Lankan players will give one last try to win the match in what it would be a consolation for the home crowed. The fifth ODI will take place at the R. Premadasa stadium, Colombo on 29 August 2008.

Then does India have anything significant to achieve from the match? Not necessarily, but I guess, India might undertake few experiments with the squad for the final ODI, knowing that even a defeat would not take the ODI series away from them. Those who might be given a chance would definitely try their best to show their good form to win a regular place in the squad.

So, I think, India is full of confident and seems to have better chance in the fifth match, though Sri Lanka will also come out strongly to give the last shot to bring out a consolidating victory for the home fans. Herein lies an indication of an exciting match, even though the fifth ODI can not make any impact on the series.
