Greg Chappell about Australian Tour of India 2008

There has been a lot of criticism against Greg Chappell in India in the last few days. In the Australian tour of India 2008, Chappell is helping Australian team in everyday possible. This has made many Indians sensitive and even some BCCI officials are not too happy with it. Well, Chappell is not giving any importance to this issue. He is a bit concerned for another matter. He think that Australia has sent a weak team.

“In my time of watching, playing and commentating I’ve only seen a couple of poor Australian sides and the 2008 version isn’t one,” Chappell wrote in the Hindustan Times.

“However, since Australia defeated the West Indies in 1995 to become unofficial world champions, they’ve never looked this vulnerable.

“That poses the question, ‘is India strong enough to grab this glorious opportunity’?”

 

This should come as sweet words to the Indian fans. Well, I do not agree with Chappell. Australia has fielded a young team and still, they are professional cricketers. Indian players should not underestimate the Australian team.
