The final score is England 5 – Kazakhstan 1. This is a remarkable victory for England national football team. I am very that it has in front of the home crowd. Can you believe the score line? England players and national have suffered a lot of criticism over the last one year after they failed to qualify for Euro 2008. Now, it seems that things are going to change and there is a new beginning for England football team. Yes, they have completely demolished Kazakhstan and who could think that this would be the final score line of the match between England vs Kazakhstan. Well, to be honest with you, I thought that it was possible. I was a bit worried that England media was too much complacent. I think you should give some credit to Wayne Rooney who scored 2 goals and Rio Ferdinand who scored a goal and Defoe too. However, you should also give a lot of credit to the Kazakhstan players as they could hold on to England until 52nd minutes. The first goal came in the 52nd minute and England did not look that much impressive. So, many people thought that this would be another day when England footballers would again disappoint the home fans.
Â
So, I think that they belong to Manchester Untied player. Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney both play for Manchester United. They provided three of the five goals. There was an own goal by Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan’s only goal came at the 68th minute. At that time England was leading 2-0. So, the goal of 68th minute gave a bit of scare to the English fans. However, in the end, Rooney proved that it was his day and he scored two goals within 10 minutes. The first one was in 76th minute and the next one is 86th minute. So, at that time England was leading by 4-1. In the 90th minute, Jermein Defoe gave the killer blow to Kazakhstan. Defoe is now at Portsmouth and his fans would be happy too.

Reaction from different Media and websites:
BBC wrote:
After a poor first half Rio Ferdinand, captain in the absence of the injured John Terry, nodded in a corner, before Alexandr Kuchma headed into his own net.
Zhambyl Kukeyev fired one back before Wayne Rooney headed in a Wes Brown cross and then tapped in after a David Beckham free-kick.
Jermain Defoe finished off the scoring with a late, low finish.
But it was not the comfortable evening for coach Fabio Capello the scoreline suggests and he will not be fooled by the margin of victory ahead of the potentially tricky trip to Belarus on Wednesday.
Â
Three goals in the final 14 minutes put a gloss on an underwhelming England performance this evening, as they spluttered to a 5-1 win over the world’s 131st ranked team. The Wembley crowd obeyed the calls of Fabio Capello and resisted the urge to boo his team, despite a turgid first half where his team failed to carve out any clear-cut chances. An improved performance in the second half brought goals for stand-in captain Rio Ferdinand, substitute Jermain Defoe and a brace from Wayne Rooney, as well as an own goal, with Kazakhstan pulling one back through Zhambyl Kukeyev.
Â
Despite manager Fabio Capello’s call for support from the home crowd, there were audible jeers from the crowd, not least when Ashley Cole had possession following his aberration that led to Kazakhstan’s consolation goal.
At that point England had scored just twice, Rio Ferdinand settling a few worries with a headed goal before Wayne Rooney looked embarrassed to accept the plaudits when his marker had headed in to his own net for England’s second.
Â
The scoreline flattered England, who were poor at times, and Capello will be alarmed how quickly the spark which so electrified their 4-1 win in Croatia last month disappeared.
Rooney and Ferdinand acknowledged England can play better and Rooney told ITV: “In the first half we had couple of chances and could have gone in one or two goals up at half-time.
Â
So, you can see that everyone in England is now excited and they are happy with the final score. I am happy too. What is your feeling about this convincing win against Kazakhstan?
I feel that England has a good captain and leader in Rio Ferdinand. He was the first player to score a goal after barren and worrying first half. He could inspire everyone to play solidly. What caught my attention is that the English players did not lose their mental strength after a goalless first half. I think that this was the key of success- never lose your heart. So, coach Capello deserves some credit. England has won all three of their World Cup 2010 qualifier matches and they are now at the top of the group. The other teams perhaps would start mentally for getting the second position.Â
