India has won the 1st ODI Against New Zealand
This is a good win for team India. The fans were getting sad for their team’s poor performance in New Zealand. In the first ODI, the victory was impressive and emphatic. I felt that it was rain that worked in India’s favor. The match was curtailed because of rain and put some decent amount of runs. In fact, India could get 273/4 from 38 overs. Mahendra Singh Dhoni remained not out for 84 runs while Virender Sehwag scored 77 and Suresh Raina got 66 runs. They were the main run getters for India.
On the other hand, New Zealand was never in the chase and then rain came and made their asking run rate almost impossible. In the end, India won the match by 53 runs.
