Wipro Technologies’s employee, Anoop Agarwal committed suicide – accused of a $4 million fraud

Software major Wipro Technologies’s employee, Anoop Agarwal committed suicide.He is a fraud, accused of USD 4 million. He was appointed in the companys ‘controllership’ division within the finance department, which is responsible for keeping the company’s financial books and also has powers to authorize payments whenever needed. He was associated with the company for the last three years.

According to Wipro’s audit committee, Agarwal was scheduled to interrogate and was sacked after the fraud.He allegedly cracked the password and transferred money from Wipro’s account at a bank.

After the incident, the company has disabled the controllership division.
