Sonam Kapoor participated at the HDIL India Couture Week fashion show
On the fourth day of the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor, walked the ramp for Kolkata based designer, Anamika Khanna. Sonam Kapoor’s father, Anil Kapoor, was sitting at the first row watching her daughter’s first steps on the ramp. He was amazed looking at her. For a first timer, she seemed to be very comfortable. Anil Kapoor said:
“Sonam is very spunky and sporty unlike the role she played in her debut movie. She also has a fantastic dress sense,. . . . I was excited to see her walk down the ramp. It was her first time and it was a completely new experience for me,”
Sonam Kapoor’s mentor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Karan Johar were also present in the show. As per Sonam Kapoor herself, she was a bit nervous to see other models but she did not walk the ramp as a model but as herself, Miss Sonam Kapoor. Overall, Sonam Kapoor enjoyed the show.
Sonam Kapoor made her debut as an actress in 2007. She starred with Ranbir Kapoor in Saawariya. The movie was directed by famous Bollywood director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In the movie, Sonam Kapoor’s character ‘Sakina’ was a very shy girl. She is the total opposite of ‘Sakina’ in reality. Her next movie, Dilli 6, will be released this year. The movie is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
