Regarding her character, Sonia, in Kidnap Hindi movie, Minissha Lamba says that Sonia is going to turn eighteen and she is very much eager to meet her father. On her eighteenth birthday she gets kidnapped. This is the biggest twist in the plot. The kidnapper will talk only to her father, Vikrant Raina (Sanjay Dutt).
About wearing a bikini, Minissha Lamba said that in Bollywood now days, women are wearing westernized dresses. This is a symbol that women are breaking the “shackles.â€
About her getting the role in the movie, Minissha Lamba said that she was told to meet Sanjay Gadhvi at the office of Ashtavinayak Productions. Upon going there, Minissha Lamba came to know that it was an audition. She did not know that Sanjay Gadhvi is going to direct the movie. Sanjay Gadhvi gave her a scene to enact and she did it. After that, she was chosen for the movie. On the first day, Sanjay Gadhvi made it very clear that in the movie, Minissha Lamba is going to wear a bikini and “ultra glam clothes.†This is what Minissha Lamba liked about Sanjay Gadhvi; he is very honest.
