Synopsis: In 2006, Golmaal was a major hit. Now, its sequel, Golmaal Returns, is ready and it is no less comical and entertaining than its predecessor. The story revolves around Gopal (Ajay Devgan), his wife Ekta (Kareena Kapoor), his sister Esha (Amrita Arora), his dumb brother-in-law, Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), a South Indian girl Meera Nair (Celina Jaitley), Gopal’s office staff Laxman (Shreyas Talpade) and Esha’s boyfriend Madhav (Arshad Warsi).
Gopal lives with his wife Ekta, Esha and Lucky. One day, he gets stuck in a yacht to save an attractive young woman named Meera. He had to spend the entire night with her on the yacht. The next morning, he returns home. Gopal’s wife, Ekta, is a big fan of ‘saas-bahu’ serials. She is a very suspicious wife. Gopal knew about his wife’s nature. So, he lied to her and told her that he spent the night with one of his old friend, Anthony Gonsalves. Ekta does not believe him. She secretly writes a letter to Anthony’s address asking him to come to her house. Surprisingly, the address, to which the letter was sent, turns out to be real. A dead body was found in the yacht and Madhav, who is a police officer, was charged with the investigation of the murder. Madhav and Gopal are not in good terms. The whole thing spins out of control and every thing becomes haywire.
