In Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming movie, Drona, Priyanka Chopra has a three-in-one character, she is a warrior, she is Abhishek Bachchan’s bodyguard and she is also the love interest of Abhishek Bachchan. Interestingly, it was Abhishek Bachchan who gave the idea that Priyanka Chopra should play the role of Drona’s (Abhishek Bachchan) body guard. He said:

“During the scripting stage, when Goldie said that Priyanka will play my love interest, I suggested that apart from that she should also be my bodyguard. In the film, her father’s character is my father’s bodyguard. Since I take over my family legacy in Drona, I thought why not let Priyanka do that too?”

In his other movie, Dilli 6, which is going to release next year, Abhishek Bachchan gave various suggestions to director, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Rakeysh was very much impressed with Abhishek Bachchan. He said that Abhishek Bachchan was a storehouse of plots and ideas which makes him an ideal candidate for movie direction. Upon hearing this, Abhishek Bachchan said:

“I don’t know about the directing bit yet. As for Priyanka playing my bodyguard, I think it’s a welcome change from the traditional man-woman role often depicted in our films. Our patriarchal society has always defined women as subservient, but we do worship goddesses. Besides, I am used to having strong women around me – my mother and my wife Aishwarya. And no, I am not a male chauvinist at all. If I was, I would not have suggested a female co-star to play my bodyguard.”

Well, director Goldie Behl is very much enthusiastic about making a sequel Abhishek Bachchan did not give any straight forward answer. He said that he was the only person in the industry to star in three sequels: Sarkar, Sarkar Raj, Dhoom, Dhoom2, and finally Drona. Rumor spread out that in Drona sequel, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will share screen space with Abhishek Bachchan but neither Goldie Behl nor Abhishek Bachchan talked about it.
