Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone pay the price of being upfront with their affair
Who said honesty pays up well all the time? Sometimes the payback is so painful that you would end up thinking why you had been so honest in the first place. Same thing is happening to Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. During the release of Bachna Ae Haseeno, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone went public with their affair. People Magazine published their story. After the success of Bachna Ae Haseeno, the couple has become the hot cake among Bollywood directors. Already, three top directors have approached to them but Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are not showing any interest. NDTV reports:
The directors who have offered them films together include Anees Bazmi, who is taking a break from Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif after Welcome and Singh is Kinng, David Dhawan and Rajkumar Santoshi.
Santoshi is already doing a film with Ranbir. It is titled Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and Katrina is playing the female lead in it.
The relation of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor has taught Ranbeer and Deepika a lesson. During their heydays, Shaheed Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were inseparable. Unfortunately, whatever movies they appeared in did not do very well. Movies like Fida and 36 China Town bombed at the box office. When they broke up, Jab We Met was released, and it became a hit. The history repeated with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Their first movie, Tashan, failed miserably.
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone do not want to fall in that same trap. Ranbir is now working with Katrina Kaif in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s movie, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani. Deepika Padukone is working with Saif Ali Khan.
