Shreyas Talpade has been in the movie business for last six years. He may not be a big movie star but he is a fine actor. He started his acting career in theatres. From there, he switched to movies. In his debut movie, Iqbal, Shreyas Talpade depicted the role of a village boy aspiring to become a cricketer. His performance brought him critical acclaim. In Golmaal Returns he is playing an important role. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama’s London correspondent, Devansh Patel, the actor shares his experience of working in Golmaal Returns.

Shreyas Talpade is a theatre person and he did few comedy plays in his college days. He admits that it is difficult to make people laugh but if the actor enjoys it then the viewers will also enjoy it.

The Golmaal movies are not single hero-heroine movies. Golmaal was a movie of four friends. Golmaal Returns also follows the same path. Shreyas Talpade played the role of ‘Laxman,’ a junior office staff who works under Ajay Devgan. Among the male actors, Shreyas Talpade was the newcomer but from the beginning, the cast were very friendly to him. Arshad Warsi, Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, and Rohit Shetty were very much cooperative and friendly.

Interestingly, actress Celina Jaitley has become a big fan of Shreyas Talpade. She said that the two actors she would love to work again and again are Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor. Shreyas Talpade said:

This was the first time I’ve worked with Celina and for her to make that remark is inspiring. I was so pleasantly surprised by seeing her dedication and her approach towards her character, even in terms of improvising, suggesting and adding certain things. We did a lot of masti together. If you have a co-star who is so enthusiastic and charged up to contribute then its complete fun to work.

Another major achievement in Shreyas Talpade’s career is that his latest movie, Welcome to Sajjanpur is going to be screened at the prestigious London Film Festival. For Shreyash Talpade, working in Welcome to Sajjanpur was a matter of great honor because it was a Shyam Benegal movie. The movie is also doing well in theatres in India also.
