In real life, movie stars are never in good terms with one another. There are lots of rivalries. Take the recent spat between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan for example. Professional jealousy is very much there in Bollywood. However, there are exceptions as well. Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham both are very popular actors but both share a great relationship on-screen as well as off-screen. John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan first came together in Dhoom, the super hit movie of 2004.

The two actors came together once again in Karan Johar’s Dostana. They had a great time shooting the movie together. Unfortunately, for the promotional video of the movie, director Tarun Mansukhani decided to shoot with the two actors separately. The music video was shot on the Punjabi song, “Maa Da Ladla.” Regarding the song, Karan Johar said that while the music video was shot, he left for Los Angeles, leaving everything to his assistant director, Feroz, and Tarun. On the other hand, Tarun said:

“I deliberately didn’t shoot the song with John and Abhishek together. I wanted at least this one song ‘Maa Da Ladla’ to look different from the rest of the film where they’re constantly together, fooling around, chumming it up. They shot individually, so the masti of the rest of the movie was missing on the sets.”

The music video was shot on 15, 16, and 17th October at Filmistan Studios. Tarun said that while shooting for the song, ‘Desi girl,’ it was so much fun. Both John and Abhishek were happy to work together. John regards Abhishek Bachchan as his friend and they both like each other very much and never compete with each other. In Dostana, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan played the role of a gay couple.
