High-flying India is going to face England in a 7-match ODI series, starting from tomorrow (13 November 2008) in Rajkot. India has been in a buoyant form after demolishing Australia in the recent test series at home. England has also defeated South Africa in their recent ODI series pretty comfortably at home. However, the visiting side suffered a number of morale denting experience during this time. First, they were comfortably beaten by Stanford Superstars in the recently held Stanford Super Series in which the winning team clinched $20 Million. After that, England suffered a humiliating defeat to Mumbai Cricket Association XI after being bowled out for 98 in their last tour match.
Anyway, there is no doubt, it is going to be a hardly-fought series with both sides looking to continue their winning run in ODI cricket. Cricket fans of both sides are eagerly waiting for this high-profile ODI series. For the Indian fans, NEO Sports is going to telecast the matches live. You know that Nimbus Channel NEO Sports holds the official broadcast right of India’s home matches and it will show the test series too. NEO Sports might also share the feed with Doordarshan (DD Sports), but I am not sure about it yet. Out of 7 matches, 3 will be day/night matches. The timing of the day/night matches will be conducive for the cricket fans in England, but timing for all other four matches (day matches) will not be good for the cricket fans in England. Sky Sports will bring the live action of the seven-match ODI series for the fans in England.
