Mugdha Godse is very happy to be a part of ‘Fashion’ Hindi movie
Mugdha Godse may be new in the movie industry, but she is not a new face in the modeling circuit. The twenty six year old Miss India 2004 Semi-finalist has done everything ranging from ramp modeling, music video, TV commercials to print ads. The coming Wednesday (October 29, 2008), is the D-Day of her life because her debut movie, ‘Fashion’ Hindi movie is going to release. In ‘Fashion’ Hindi movie, Mugdha Godse played the character of a model named ‘Janet.’ In an interview, the model turned actress talks about her experience of working in ‘Fashion’ Hindi movie.
Mugdha Godse is very happy for being a part of ‘Fashion’ Hindi movie. She is happy for the fact that she was able to work with two reputed actresses like Kangna Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra.
Though in the movie, Mugdha Godse got to play the character of a model, being a real-life model did not give her any advantage in acting. She had to portray a person on the screen who was entirely different from her and this made the acting completely different altogether. Her character ‘Janet’ is a tough but good hearted girl. She is not a very successful model. In a world, where every body is working hard to get all the attention and limelight, Janet goes out to help others. Fashion is an emotional journey for Janet. She is very outgoing and outspoken and she is very much experienced about the world of fashion. In real life, Mugdha Godse is a simple shy girl and not classy. She is a bohemian type and middle-class girl.
Unlike Priyanka Chopra and Mugdha Godse, Kangna Ranaut has no modeling experience. When asked if Kangna Ranaut had taken any suggestions from her, Mugdha Godse said:
Not as such because she is a really good actress. She did not need any tips but she did ask me a few times, as to what we did after the Fashion show got over. We used to have a little discussion but I never gave tips to Kangana. I mean, Priyanka is senior to me in modeling. So I guess she should be the right person to give tips.
The tagline of ‘Fashion’ Hindi movie is ‘In the Fashion world, you have to give up much more than just your morals.’ Mugdha Godse said that looking at the taglines people may think that the movie actually deals with issues like casting couch, wardrobe malfunctions but ‘Fashion’ Hindi movie mainly focus on the models’ emotional journey.
Mugdha Godse is a fortunate girl that she got to start her acting career with one of the top directors in Bollywood. Though she is very much interested in acting, she will not quit modeling because modeling made her what she is today.
