In Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal, Tusshar Kapoor gave one of his best performances of his acting career. He played the role of a mute guy whose physical gestures and weird sounds were translated by Sharman Joshi. With Golmaal becoming a super hit in 2006, not only his mute character became very popular but also he won several awards.

Once again, Tusshar Kapoor is reprising his famous “Goonga” character in Golmaal Returns. In Golmaal Returns, Tusshar Kapoor’s character’s name is ‘Lucky.’ He is the brother-in-law of Gopal (Ajay Devgan). In Golmaal he ended up with Rimi Sen. This time, it is beautiful girl, Anjana Sukhani. Regarding his character in Golmaal Returns Tusshar Kapoor said:

“Funnier, nastier and deadlier? Well, that’s for you to decide”, smiles Tusshar who is brimming with confidence considering the fact that the film as well as his act are carrying great reports, “I know for sure that people loved me in Golmaal. My role was sweet and short in that one though. However, in Golmaal Returns the scope has been increased. Also, unlike the first installment, no one helps in translating what I am trying to say. I have to do all on my own.”

Like previous movie, Tusshar Kapoor’s character does not take the help of any translator. He speaks his own language and creates more confusion in the movie.

Regarding Rohit Shetty’s capability, Tusshar Kapoor said that Rohit Shetty thinks very commercially. He knows what he wants and that is to make a commercially successful movie not a critically acclaimed movie. If critics like it then it is fine. Golmaal Returns mainly targets the young audience. Tusshar Kapoor is confident that the Indian youth will enjoy Golmaal Returns very much.
