Amitabh Bachchan is recovering from his illness discharge has not been confirmed yet
Famous Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan, is recovering from his illness but doctor has not said anything about his discharge. On October 11, 2008, the actor was celebrating his 66th Birthday at his Pratiksha bungalow in Juhu. At that time, he said to have experienced abdominal pain and breathlessness. Immediately, he was rushed to the Nanavati Hospital at Vile Parle in northwest Mumbai. Later, he was shifted to Lilavati hospital. On that day, he underwent blood tests and abdominal scans.
After undergoing treatment, his health condition has improved and he is kept on a liquid diet. A spokesperson at the Lilavati Hospital said:
“Amitabh Bachchan continues to improve in health. He is on a liquid diet. While the doctors are definitely happy with his constant progress, they are not ready to comment on when he is going to be discharged,..The media has been requested to do factual and responsible reporting and not indulge in any speculation whatsoever,”
Though news reports said that Amitabh Bachchan was supposed to be discharged yesterday, doctors did not say anything clearly. However, Amitabh Bachchan is showing all the signs of improvement. Aside from his wife Jaya Bachchan, his son, Abhishek Bachchan, daughter, Shweta Nanda and daughter-in-law, were with him all the time. He is now conversing with them.
In 2005, Amitabh Bachchan had an intestinal surgery at the Lilavati Hospital. Amitabh Bachchan has been suffering from intestinal problem for a long time. It was caused by an accident while he was doing a fight sequence at the set of Coolie in 1982.After the news of Amitabh Bachchan’s illness came out, hundreds and thousands of people all over India and abroad prayed for him. Amitabh Bachchan thanked them all for their prayer.
