One of the most awaited movies of 2008, Abhishek Bachchan starrer Drona, is going to release on October 2, 2008. Goldie Behl, Abhishek Bachchan’s long time friend and director of Drona, talks about the movie in an interview with Business Standard.

Goldie Behl says that his movie, Drona is similar to Indiana Jones or Harry Potter. The stories and events of Harry Potter and Indiana Jones take place in hyper-real environment. Drona is also similar in that sense but the locations are very much real and the story is fictional. If compared with serious superhero dramas like Spiderman or Superman, then Drona is not so serious. Drona deals with family legacy and bloodlines which are of great importance to the Indians.

When asked what is the difference between Drona and movies like Krrish and Love Story 2050, Goldie Behl said:

My film is not set in the past or future, so in that sense it is different. Drona is completely rooted in Indian myths and legends. It’s a fictional take on it. It’s in a hyper-real world. So it’s exciting, kind of like a graphic novel.

About working with Abhishek Bachchan, Goldie Behl said that he would definitely like to work with other actors but his relationship with Abhishek Bachchan makes it very easy to discuss ideas with him and Goldie likes his style of acting.
