The script writer of Kidnap Hindi movie, Shibani Bathija, wrote script for movies like, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna,Fanaa. Interestingly, Kidnap Hindi movie, is actually her first script but it went into making last year. She wrote it four years earlier. It was Shibani Bathija who spotted Imran Khan and recommended him to director Sanjay Gadhvi for the role of ‘Kabir’ in Kidnap Hindi movie. She said:

“A friend had seen Imran at Aamir Khan Productions’ office and said he looked interesting. ‘Interesting’ is what we needed for Kabir so I mentioned his name to Sanjay (Gadhvi). Sanjay saw Imran and called me immediately to say that we had found Kabir.”

Shibani and Sanjay then went to meet Imran Khan at his house and they narrated him the story. Looking at his appearance, Shibani was further convinced the she created the character of ‘Kabir’ thinking of Imran Khan. Sanjay Gadhvi said that he was very proud of Shibani as Kidnap Hindi movie was her initial script. They even signed up Imran Khan before he started working for Jaane Tu. . . .Ya Jaane Na. Unfortunately, the later released earlier and became a hit movie.
