India’s star batsman Virender Sehwag has requested Australian team to come to India to take part in the scheduled four-match test series, due to start from 9 October this year. The recent bomb blasts in Indian Capital New Delhi caused death of 20 people and injured 90. In the aftermath of the synchronized bomb blasts, Australia’s upcoming tour to India has now been doubtful and Cricket Australia is assessing the security situation before deciding whether they would go on with the tour or cancel it out.

However, Sehwag asked Australian team to come on the tour, stating that Delhi is not like Pakistan. Here, it is noteworthy that Australia refused to tour Pakistan earlier this year on security ground and recently they were one of the test playing nations who refused to participate in this year’s ICC Champions Trophy that was scheduled to take place in Pakistan following a number of bomb blasts in the country.

Virender Sehwag says that there is no place in the world which is completely safe. The batsman thinks it is now a normal routine today to face this kind of terrorist activities. New Delhi will host the third of the four-match series in the upcoming series against Australia.
