India vs Australia Test Series 2008: John Buchanan Says, ‘Brett Lee is the Trump Card for Australia’
Former Australia coach John Buchanan thinks that Brett Lee would be the trump card of Australian team during their forthcoming tour to India. Australia will take part in a four-match test series against India in the tour. This is going to be the first ever test series for Brett Lee in India. However, John Buchanan considers Lee as the key players of Australia bowling attack.
Australian team will start the series from 9 October with the beginning of the first test. Buchanan also said that it was going to be a tough, tightly contested series like any other India-Australia series. He also added that Brett Lee could be effective with his pace in India as Lee is well known about the sub-continent wicket.
According to Buchanan, the result of the series will depend on the performance of the top order batsmen of both sides against the opposition bowlers. However, Buchanan did not make any comment on the much-talked about Andrew Symonds issue, citing that he was not in a position to comment on it.
