India to Go on Pakistan Tour despite Recent Bomb Blasts in Rawalpindi

Despite the recent bombings in Rawalpindi, Indian cricket team will play a test and ODI matches during their next tour to Pakistan. Indian will go on a full-fledged tour to Pakistan in January next year to play three test and five one-day matches. The scheduled ODI and test matches in Rawalpindi was shrouded with uncertainty after the recent bomb blasts in five-star Marriott hotel, killing 60 people. Indian team stayed in Marriott hotel during their previous two tours to Pakistan in 2004 and 2006.

However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently confirmed that Indian team is agreed to play matches in Rawalpindi during the series. Indian team will arrive in Pakistan in January 4 and their 47-day long tour will kick off with a three-day practice match in Hyderabad on 6 January.

The test series will start with the first test taking place in Karachi from January 13 to 17. The second and third test will take pace in Rawalpindi and Lahore. The five ODI internationals will be taking place in Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Karachi. The only Twenty20 match will take place in Karachi. No doubt, the crickets fans from around the world are now expected another exciting series between India and Pakistan.
