Imran Khan and Minissha Lamba’s knife stunt in Kidnap Bollywood movie
Imran Khan and Minissha Lamba have set the screen on fire in Kidnap Hindi movie. This is their first movie together but their on screen pair up attracted audience’s attention. From day one, Imran Khan and Minissha Lamba became very much serious about portraying their characters. Before shooting any angry scene, director Sanjay Gadhvi had to intervene to keep them separated for a whole day.
In Kidnap Hindi movie, there was a scene where Imran Khan had to jab knife between Minissha Lamba’s fingers. Imran Khan insisted on practicing with knife before shooting the scene and Minissha Lamba also agreed. Earlier, director Sanjay Gadhvi wanted to use a fake knife. For the close up shot, he wanted to use a real knife. Minissha Lamba was terrified but Imran Khan assured her and they shot the scene using a real knife. In the end, Minissha Lamba came out with all her fingers intact but she had few small cuts. Minissha Lamba said:
“I was terrified. We had to use a real knife as it was a close up. Imran had assured me that I was in safe hands since he had done this kind of thing with friends while growing up. I was genuinely on the verge of being knifed during the take and I didn’t have to move at all. But true to his word, Imran was a master at this and I got to see another day with all my fingers intact!”
Later, Imran Khan admitted of jabbing knife since his school days. He loved doing it very much. He said:
“I love doing that and if you look at my hand closely, I still have a few scars of the days when I used to do it.”
Interestingly, if things had gone accordingly then Imran Khan and Minissha Lamba would have ended up in Jaane Tu. . . . . Ya Jaane Na. After watching Minissha Lamba in Yahaan, Imran Khan was very much impressed with Minissha Lamba and recmmended her for the female lead in Jaane Tu . . . .Ya Jaane Na. Unfortunately, Minissha Lamba could not give date for the movie and Genelia D’Souza ended up playing the role.
