India already clinched the series with their excellent 46-run victory in the fourth match of the five-match ODI series. The fifth match thus has become nothing but a mere formality. With India leading 3-1, Sri Lanka can now only make it 3-2 at this stage. However, it does not mean that Sri Lankan team would let the visiting side go into the match and come out as winner. The fifth ODI will also be another day/night meeting between India and Sri Lanka. The match will take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The match kicks off at 14:30 local, 09:00 GMT. Looking back to the third and fourth matches of the series at Premadasa, I think, the fifth match will also be held at a pitch that will be very similar to the previous matches.
In the third and fourth ODIs, wicket helped the pacers early in the both innings. Specially, in the evening session, pacers got some help from the wicket. I guess, the wicket of fifth ODI will be no different. So, the toss will be very important in the match. Now, let us see if the last match of the series can provide with a big scoring match.
