Ahead of the much-awaited upcoming bout between Nate Campbell and Joan Guzman, the boxing world is now excited to see a mind blowing match on 13 September 2008. However, the war of words has been started already with both the boxers throwing insults to each other in the media. Boxing fans are also enjoying to see them jibing at each other. Their high profile showdown will be broadcast live on Showtime Championship Boxing at 9 p.m. on the match day. Nate Campbell vs Joan Guzman bout will take place at the Beau Rivage Theatre in Biloxi , Miss. Nate Campbell will defend his IBF, WBO and WBA Lightweight titles against Guzman, while WBO’s super featherweight two-division champion Joan Guzman will try his best to snatch the Nate’s lightweight titles.

WBA, WBO and IBF unified champion, Nate “The Galaxxy Warrior” Campbell, expressed that ahead of the fight he started to get nasty and indicated his eagerness to take on undefeated Guzman. Nate thinks that his opponent does not know what is going to happen to him and where he is taking him on the 13th September. Nate Campbell does not fell any fear about Guzman’s undefeated career record of 28-0 with 17 knock outs. Rather, to Nate, being undefeated means either Guzman has not fought anybody or has not gone through any hard challenge yet.

Joan Guzman also hit back saying Campbell loves to talk and he can say whatever he wants but the truth is different. To Guzman, the truth is that he is going to make Nate Campbell look foolish on September 13. Guzman said that most fighters figured out his strength and skill just watching the films of his previous matches, but, he added, watching him in the tape and fighting him inside the ring are two different things.

To fight against Nate Campbell, the Dominican boxer Guzman needs to improve his weight to qualify himself in lightweight division. However, Joan Guzman does not think that it would be a problem for him. He is now training under his coach David Buer whom Guzman termed as one of the best trainers in the country. About his training camp, Guzman said that he is now trying to adjust and maximize his speed and power to the lightweight division. Guzman is confident that he will come up with his fastest and strongest ever appearance against Nate Campbell.
