Google Android Mobile Phone to Hit the Market with Online Application Store
Google is going to launch its Android mobile phone operating system. Android will have its own online application store from where users will be able to download necessary applications according to their needs. Initially, free applications will be stored, while the paid application would come later on. Though the release date of Android mobile system has not been unveiled, it is for sure that Android will be available on HTC Dream phone on the T-Mobile Network.
Google’s Android mobile phone with own online application store will compete with Apple’s iPhone and its online application store. On the very first month upon the opening of online store, 60 million applications were downloaded by the users across the world, creating $30 million revenue for the application-makers.
Google called on application developers to submit their application for its online store and this week Google awarded its top 20 developers. More money for the developers will be at stake following the release of Android phone.
So, the market of online application store seems to be increasing. Apple now has to contend with Google’s Android in the online application market. Now, let us see if Google Android can initially grab a chunk of market share soon after its release.
