Khoka:

When you think of Mika Singh singing a song, it is natural to assume that it would be a tapori type of song with no substance but fun. ‘Khoka’ is exactly that type of song. It is a fun song. You can call it the title song of the movie. It tells us what the movie is all about. Picturised on the four major characters of the movie, ‘Khoka’ comes with western music and techno-bits. The song describes the power of money. How money can make people powerful and respectable in the society and what happens after someone makes a lot of money. Along with Mika Singh, Bappa Lahiri’s father, Bappi Lahiri and sister Rema Lahiri, rendered their voices in the song. If you love hip-hop songs then you will like this song. It is also a great dance track.
Khoka (Remix):
The remix version is more fast-paced with more techno bits. This is also an ideal dance song.
Speaker Baje:
This is a Bhangra hip-hop track with quick paced rhythm. The song was lavishly shot on Tusshar Kapoor and Bollywood’s sexy siren, Celina Jaitley. You can call it the second item song of the movie and it is another great dance number. Anand Raj Anand wrote the song, composed the lyrics, and sang it. Sunidhi Chauhan is an ideal fit for the song. Call it item song, hip-hop, Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice makes the songs more enjoyable to listen to.
Speaker Baje (Dhol Mix):
The remix version comes with lots of dhol beats. Both the original and remix version are good to hear and both are great dance tracks.

Remember the song ‘Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re’ from Kaante? ‘C Kkompany’ is a similar song. It is a dark song that anticipates that something bad is going to happen. The song narrates the major characters of the movie and their problems: Akshay Kumar (Tusshar Kapoor), Mr. Jha (Rajpal Yadav), and Mr. Joshi (Anupam Kher). Composed by Anand Raj Anand, the song is sung by Sanjay Dutt. The lyrics is basically Hindi interspersed with English rap.
C Kkompany (R-mix):
For some reason, I found the remix version more enjoyable than the original version for its quick pace and techno bits.
Jaane Kya:
Music: Bappa Lahiri
Lyrics: Shabbir Ahmad
After all the hip-hop, lound songs, ‘Jaane Kya’ will feel like fresh breeze. Definitely it is a romantic song sung by KK and Shreya Ghoshal. The song takes of with simple guitar strumming. It is very much similar to Atif Aslam’s ‘Bakhuda’ (Kismat Konnection) or ‘Khuda Jaane’ from Bachna Ae Haseeno.
In conclusion, the music album of C Kkompany is not to hear but to see. Collect the DVD and reap the songs from there and enjoy the audio and video. Songs like Khoka, Speaker Baje are more enjoyable when you see them on screen with the short dressed girls and sexy Celina Jaitley. There is a good possibility you may not enjoy audio only.
