Like Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone did a song with Shah Rukh Khan in his upcoming movie, Billo Barber. The song was choreographed by Farah Khan. When Farah Khan heard that she would choreograph a song for Priyadarshan’s movie, she was shocked because she was not told anything about it but rumor has it that Farah Khan was approached. She refused to choreograph because of Deepika Padukone. It was Farah Khan who made Deepika Padukone a star. However, Deepika Padukone never contacted Farah Khan except sending few SMS messages. This has irked the lady. If Shah Rukh Khan had requested her she would have ended up doing the choreography. She said:

“I can never say no to Shahrukh but the truth is that he hasn’t asked me yet. As for being upset with Deepika, I am too happy to be upset with anyone. If SRK asks me, I will do it and just for him. The heroine, director or music director don’t matter. I haven’t spoken to Priyan since the release of Viraasat though I appreciate what the film did for me. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander was my first film and Viraasat got me my first award. Right now, I am only shooting for Tarun’s song. I want to spend as much time with my babies as possible.”

The lyrics of the song was written by Gulzar with whom Priyadarshan wanted to work for a long time. Priyadarshan is a big fan of Gulzar’s work and many of his movies were inspired by Gulzar. The song is also special because after a long time, it brought Farah Khan and Priyadarshan together. In 1997, Farah Khan did her first choreography for the song, “Dhol Baajne Laga” in Virasat directed by Priyadarshan.
