Bachna Ae Haseeno: Playing the character of Mahi was a big challenge for Minissha Lamba

Even though Minissha Lamba does not have any major hits to her credit, she has a very very beautiful face and that makes her the ideal choice for the role of ‘Mahi’ in Yash Raj Films’ upcoming movie Bachna Ae Haseeno. In an interview with The Times of India, this beautiful actress talks about her character and her experience in Bachna Ae Haseeno.

Minissha Lamba’s character, Mahi, hails from Amritsar. She is very romantic and believes that love is the ultimate thing. She then meets Raj and they fall in love. It was the happiest times in Mahi’s life. Mahi is a character with whom  every one can relate to. While narrating the character, Siddharth Anand told her that Mahi is a very positive girl, who is very happy and smiles all the time. In the beginning, Minissha was a bit skeptical but after playing the character she realized that being happy should come to people naturally.

When asked whether she felt being sidelined in a movie with Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, Minissha said that she signed the film consciously knowing what was coming in her way and she had no qualms about her character in the movie. To Minissha, getting a good character is not the most important thing but being part of a successful movie.

In the movie, Minissha Lamba is visible sporting a short hair style which has been liked by everybody. According to Minissha, when director Siddharth Anand told her that she had to cut-off her hair, she was shocked, because, she is very emotional about her hair.
