Bachna Ae Haseeno made Vishal Shekhar fulfill their dreams to work with Lucky Ali
Vishal-Shekhar duo are one of the top music composers in Bollywood now. They did music for movies like Om Shanti Om, Golmaal,Taxi Number 9211, Zinda, Bluffmaster, Ek Ajnabee,Popcorn Khao Mast Ho Jao, Shaadi Ka Laddoo, Jhankaar Beats,Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi . For a long time, the duo wanted to work with famous singer and composer, Lucky Ali. Finally, they got their chance with Yash Raj Films’ Bachna Ae Haseeno. Lucky Ali sang the song ‘Ahista Ahista’ with Shreya Ghosal. The song was picturised on Ranbir Kapoor and Minissha Lamba.
Vishal Shekhar wanted to work with Lucky Ali for a long time. The duo became big fan of Lucky Ali after seeing him in Sur in 2002. Vishal says:
“Call it destiny but somehow we were never able to work with Lucky Ali for all these years”, says Vishal who is currently touring along with Shekhar in Bachchans’ ‘Unforgettable’, “We were bowled over by his work in SUR and ever since then were looking forward to creating something special with him.”
It was director Siddharth Anand, who proposed Lucky Ali’s name for the song and Vishal Shekhar just grabbed the opportunity.
